Let's write a movie script

So, as you know, I'm a big fan of the 80's, and hate how desensitized (myself included) everyone is these days. I was chatting with splinter about my woes, and he told me to make a movie about my idea.

OK, Imagine going back in time. Back to the 80's show Starcade. with a modern day laptop in hand, loaded with the latest games. Your treasure would be displayed on network television, for the world to see. Clips played on the news everywhere. The buzz would be astronomical. This technology would exceed that of the military at the time. That means you'll be in a bit of trouble. If the Army doesn't cease your laptop before you even leave the studio, you'll be fortunate enough to be stuck in the middle of a bid ware between the nations. They'll give you anything you want. Protection, immunity, money. Whatever. Careful who you ally with though, because they could take your computer and put a cap in your head.

Lets write a script together. Develop character names, settings, angles, etc.

America gets to be the bad guys, or so we think, in the movie. Somehow the US government is trying to fuck you up and get your laptop. but this other country, which you think are the good guys, are protecting you. Everyone thinks you're controlling some military machine or some shit because you're playing Call of duty.

What's the main character's motivation? Does he want to get back . . . to the future?

Or is he content staying in the 80's and racking up the bitches but choking on their hairspray fumes?

how about the main character is approached by a small freedom fighting group who have a legit agenda against whoever our main enemy country is. their goal seems righteous and it intrigues our character. throw in a love at first sight scenario that makes helping them somewhat more appealing to our main character.
